Eligibility Criteria of Assam Agricultural University Project Assistant
Educational Qualification for AAU Recruitment:
- Bachelor’s degree in Geography, Geology, Geoinformatics, Agriculture, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Certificate/Diploma in GIS & Remote Sensing or Geoinformatics.
Desirable Skills:
- Proficiency in GIS and remote sensing software such as IGIS, ESRI, ArcGIS, QGIS, ERDAS Imagine, and ENVI.
- Knowledge of geospatial analysis, image processing techniques, data collection through GPS survey, and development of geospatial data.
Experience:
- Preference will be given to candidates with at least 1 year of experience in remote sensing & GIS, focusing on vegetation phenology, land-use and land-cover change, and database management.
- Candidates with technical training in remote sensing and GIS will have an added advantage.
Emoluments and Duration
- Salary: Rs. 25,000/- per month + 8% HRA
- Duration: March 2025 to March 2026

- The selected candidate will have no right to claim permanent employment at Assam Agricultural University (AAU) after the contract period.

- Candidates currently in service or studying must provide a No Objection Certificate (NOC) or Study Drop Certificate from the competent authority.
