NEEPCO Recruitment for Apprentice 2025 (Job in Assam): North Eastern Electric Power Corporation Limited (NEEPCO), a “Mini Ratna” Category-I Central Public Sector Enterprise, a fully owned subsidiary of NTPC under the Ministry of Power, Government of India, is inviting applications for the engagement of 135 apprentices through apprenticeship training for FY 2024-25 across multiple trades and locations in the North Eastern region of India.

NEEPCO is offering apprenticeship training in the following categories:
1. Graduate Apprentice (Engineering)
- Eligibility: Candidates must hold a BE/B.Tech (or equivalent degree) in Engineering or Technology (Electronics, Mechanical, Civil, IT).
- Monthly Stipend: Rs. 18,000/-

2. Technician Apprentice (Diploma Engineering)
- Eligibility: Candidates must hold a Diploma in Engineering or Technology in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or IT.
- Monthly Stipend: Rs. 15,000/-

- Eligibility: A degree in any subject (other than Engineering/Technology) of minimum three years duration such as B.A., B.Sc, B.Com.
- Monthly Stipend: Rs. 15,000/-

- Eligibility: Candidates must have completed 10th pass (excluding plumber) and ITI in relevant trade (Electrician, Lineman, Plumber, Fitter).
- Monthly Stipend: Rs. 14,877/-

Eligibility Criteria of NEEPCO Recruitment for Apprentice 2025
- Residency: Candidates must be residents of North East India.
- Age Limit: Candidates should be between 18 to 28 years of age as of 01-12-2024. Age relaxation is available for SC/ST/OBC/PwD/Ex-servicemen as per Government of India rules.
- Educational Qualification: Candidates should have completed their degree/diploma/ITI on or before 31st March 2023 (specific for each category).
- Aadhar Card and Other Documents: Candidates must have an Aadhaar Card, and documents related to qualification (marksheets, certificates, etc.), age proof (HSLC or birth certificate), and caste/PwD certificate (if applicable) must be uploaded online.

Selection Process of NEEPCO Recruitment for Apprentice 2025
- Merit-Based Selection: Selection will be based on the merit of the candidate’s degree/diploma/ITI marks.
- State Preference: Preference will be given to candidates from the same state where the respective power station is located.
- Online Application: Candidates must register and apply through the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) for Graduate and Diploma Engineering apprenticeships or through National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS) for ITI apprenticeships.
How to Apply for NEEPCO Apprentice 2025
For Graduate Engineering & Diploma Engineering Apprentices (Categories 1 & 2)
- Step 1: Registration on NATS Portal
- Visit the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) website: https://nats.education.gov.in/
- Enroll/ register with the Board of Practical Training (BOPT) online and obtain a valid enrolment ID.
- If you hold both a B.Tech and a Diploma, register only for the Diploma category on the NATS portal if applying for Technician (Diploma) positions.
- Step 2: Apply for NEEPCO Positions
- After completing your registration and receiving the enrolment ID, log in to the NATS portal with your ID and password.
- Apply for the desired apprenticeship category with NEEPCO and select the relevant stream based on your qualifications and eligibility.
For Non-Engineering Graduates (B.A, B.Sc, B.Com, etc.) (Category 3)
- Step 1: Registration on NATS Portal
- Visit the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) website: https://nats.education.gov.in/
- Enroll/register with the Board of Practical Training (BOPT) online and get a valid enrolment ID after successful registration.
- Step 2: Apply for NEEPCO Positions
- After completing the registration and receiving the enrolment ID, log in to the NATS portal with your ID and password.
- Apply for an apprenticeship position with NEEPCO and select the relevant stream based on your educational qualifications and eligibility.
For ITI Trade Apprentice (Electrician, Lineman, Plumber & Fitter) at NEEPCO:
- Step 1: Registration on NAPS Portal
- Visit the National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS) website: www.apprenticeshipindia.gov.in
- Register/enroll yourself on the NAPS portal and obtain a valid enrolment ID after successful registration.
- Step 2: Apply for Apprenticeship
- After registration and receiving your enrolment ID, apply online through the NAPS portal for apprenticeship training at NEEPCO.
