Majuli District Job Vacancy: Eligibility Criteria
Eligibility Criteria:
- Citizenship: Applicant must be an Indian citizen.
- Age: Must be at least 30 years old as on 17/06/2025.
- Educational Qualification: Must have passed High School Leaving Certificate Examination (HSLC) from a recognized Board or Institution.
- Physical & Mental Fitness: Should be physically and mentally sound.
- Financial Integrity: Must not be a defaulter of loans or bankrupt.
- Preference: Will be given to candidates recommended by the local Khilonjia people and Mouzadar.
- Employment Status: Must not be a government employee.
- Property Ownership: Should possess land/immovable property in his/her name within the concerned villages/mouza.
- Political Affiliation: Must not be a member of any political party.
- Reputation: Must be a person of high social standing and respectability.
- Community Participation: Must be willing to assist in implementing government schemes and in disaster management activities.
- Criminal Record: Must not have been involved in any criminal activities or be facing any legal cases.
- Age Limit for Service: Can serve as Gaon Pradhan until 65 years of age.
- Family Norms: Must not have more than two living children. (However, those having more than two children before 19/07/2019 will be exempted from this rule.)

- Interested candidates must submit their application in the Standard Form of Application published in Assam Gazette (Part IX).
- Applications must reach the Bamun Branch, Deputy Commissioner’s Office, Majuli, on or before 17/06/2025 by 4:00 PM.
