- Duration of Engagement: For a period of eleven (11) months, which may be extended depending upon the need of the University and satisfactory performance of the incumbent, subject to the maximum age of the incumbent being 65 years. The engagement can be terminated by either side with one month’s prior notice or by payment of one month’s emolument thereof.
- Emoluments: The monthly salary will be fixed by deducting the basic pension from the salary drawn at the time of retirement. The fixed salary will remain unchanged throughout the term of the contract.
- Age Limit: Maximum age of the incumbent should not exceed 65 years at the time of engagement.

- Qualification:
- Educational Qualification: Graduate in any discipline from a recognized Indian university.
- Language Skills: Excellent communication skills in Assamese, English, and Hindi.
- Experience:
- Retired officers of not below the rank of Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) or equivalent, Army, CAPF, or Armed Forces Services from the Central or State Government.
- Age Limit:
- The candidate should be a retired officer, with a superannuation age not exceeding 65 years.
Duties & Responsibilities
The Security Officer will be responsible for the overall security and surveillance of the Tezpur University campus. Key responsibilities include:
- Security Planning & Execution:
- Plan and execute effective security arrangements within the university.
- Daily Security Supervision:
- Station on campus and manage day-to-day security operations.
- Personnel Management:
- Supervise the security personnel engaged by the University.
- Law and Order:
- Assist University authorities in maintaining law and order.
- Liaise with Police and district authorities on law and order issues and criminal investigations.
- Emergency Response:
- Attend to fire incidents and other calamities on campus.
- Campus Safety:
- Ensure the safety and security of staff, faculty, students, and property within the campus.
- Surveillance of Outsiders:
- Scrutinize the entry of outsiders into the campus.
- Additional Duties:
- Perform other duties assigned by the University authorities.
