- Engagement Period: The engagement will be on a contractual basis for 12 months, beginning from the date of joining.

- The position is purely a contractual engagement, and the Advisor must work in line with regular office timings.
- Pay Scale: The monthly all-inclusive remuneration will depend on the candidate’s previous retirement grade and experience:
- For Retired Executive Directors (ED): ₹1,87,500/-
- For Retired Chief General Managers (CGM): ₹1,50,000/-
- For Private Sector Candidates: ₹1,50,000 to ₹1,87,500/- (Based on last drawn remuneration and experience)
- Selection Process: The selection will be based on a personal interaction (interview) with shortlisted candidates.
Eligibility Criteria of NRL Recruitment 2025 – For Advisor (Internal Audit)
Eligibility Criteria:
Candidates interested in applying for this post must meet the following criteria:
- Educational Qualification:
- CA (Chartered Accountant) / CMA (Cost Management Accountant) / BE / MBA.
- Experience:
- Minimum 25 years of post-qualification experience.
- Out of these, at least 5 years should be in Internal Audit, Finance, or a combined role of both.
- Candidates from CPSUs should have retired from the position of at least CGM (Chief General Manager).
- Age Limit:
- Maximum age of 70 years as of March 26, 2025.
- Vigilance Clearance:
- No vigilance case, departmental proceedings, or criminal prosecution should be pending or contemplated at the time of retirement.
Scope of Work for Advisor (Internal Audit)
The Advisor will be responsible for improving and refining the internal audit processes at NRL. Key areas of focus include:
- Revisiting and improving audit processes.
- Developing standardized audit report templates.
- Creating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for internal audits.
- Identifying and facilitating training programs for the audit team.
- Continuously strengthening the internal audit framework.
- Ensuring alignment with industry standards and best practices
Roles & Responsibilities:
The selected Advisor (Internal Audit) will have several key responsibilities:
- Defining the Audit Universe: Establish and refine the audit scope and universe.
- Developing Audit Templates: Standardize the templates for audit reports.
- Improving Audit Processes: Refine existing processes and align them with global best practices.
- Creating SOPs: Develop comprehensive Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for internal audits.
- Training Programs: Identify training needs and facilitate training for audit staff.

- Continuous Improvement: Introduce initiatives for continuous improvement within internal audit operations.
