ITI Admission Notice Assam: Session 2025-26

ITI Admission Notice Assam (Assam ITI Admission): The Directorate of Employment and Craftsmen Training, Assam invites online applications from permanent residents of Assam for admission into Government and Private ITIs of the state for the academic session 2025-26. The admissions are offered under NCVT / SCVT / CoE / IMC trades under the Craftsmen Training Scheme (CTS).

Key Highlights:

  • Special provisions for candidates with benchmark disabilities (Divyangjan) as per RPWD Act, 2016
  • Trades include Engineering and Non-Engineering disciplines
  • Both NCVT (National Council for Vocational Training) and SCVT (State Council for Vocational Training) certificates will be awarded based on the trade
  • IMC-run trades are available at some ITIs with higher fees

ITI Admission Notice Assam: Academic Qualifications & Course Duration

1. Candidates who have passed Class 8:

Course Duration: 1 year

  • Carpenter
  • Bamboo Works
  • Cutting & Sewing (for Visually Impaired)

2. Candidates who have passed Class 10 (any stream or equivalent):

Course Duration: 1 year (unless mentioned otherwise)

  • Computer Operator & Programming Assistant (COPA)
  • Basic Cosmetology
  • Food Production (General)
  • Spa Therapy
  • Dress Making
  • Multimedia, Animation & Special Effects
  • Digital Photographer
  • Video Cameraman
  • Marketing Executive
  • Human Resource Executive
  • Agro Processing
  • Fruit & Vegetable Processor
  • Catering & Hospitality Assistant
  • Internet of Things (Smart City, Agriculture, Healthcare)
  • Mechanic Auto Body Repair
  • Mechanic Auto Body Painting
  • Fire Technology & Industrial Safety Management
  • Sewing Technology
  • Surface Ornamentation Techniques (Embroidery)
  • Fireman (6 months)
  • Smartphone Technician cum App Tester (6 months)

3. Candidates who have passed Class 10 with Science and Mathematics:

Course Duration: 2 years (unless mentioned otherwise)

  • Electrician
  • Fitter
  • Draughtsman (Civil)
  • Draughtsman (Mechanical)
  • Electronic Mechanic
  • Electroplater
  • Information & Communication Technology System Maintenance (ICTSM)

Course Duration: 1 year

  • Foundryman
  • Mechanic Diesel
  • Turner
  • Machinist

4. Candidates who have passed Class 10 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics:

  • Attendant Operator (Chemical Plant) – 2 years
  • Instrument Mechanic (Chemical Plant) – 2 years
  • Laboratory Assistant (Chemical Plant) – 2 years
    (Alternate short-term course of 6 months for B.Sc. with Physics & Chemistry)

5. Candidates who have passed Class 12 (Higher Secondary):

Course Duration: 1 year

  • Software Testing Assistant
  • Geo-Informatics Assistant

6. Candidates who have passed B.Sc. with Physics & Chemistry:

Course Duration: 2 years (or 6 months for short-term variant)

  • Attendant Operator (Chemical Plant)
  • Instrument Mechanic (Chemical Plant)
  • Laboratory Assistant (Chemical Plant)

PWD/Divyangjan Candidates

As per the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (RPWD) Act, 2016, a 4% reservation is provided to persons with benchmark disabilities. The suitability of each trade to various disability types (LD, CP, LV, DEAF, HH, Autism, SLD, etc.) is available in the trade eligibility list.

How to Apply ITI Admission?

  • Visit the official portal:
    👉 www.itiassam.nic.in
  • Online Registration:
    Register between 22nd May to 10th June 2025 (5 PM). Fill in your personal, academic, and other required details carefully.
  • Document Verification:
    After online registration, candidates must visit their nearest Govt. ITI for verification between 22nd May and 11th June 2025, during office hours.
    Documents to carry:
    • Printed copy of online registration
    • Original educational certificates
    • Proof of age
    • Domicile certificate (if needed)
    • PWD certificate (if applicable)
    • Category certificate (if applicable)
  • Choice Filling & Allotment:
    After successful document verification:
    • Log in to the portal
    • Fill your preferences of ITI trades and institutes
    • Participate in the e-counselling & seat allotment process
  • Admission Confirmation:
    • If allotted a seat, the candidate must take admission in the respective ITI within the deadline.
    • Failure to report will result in cancellation of the allotment.
  • Additional Notes:
    • Admission is subject to availability of seats and verification of documents
    • IMC-run trades may involve higher training fees
    • NCVT trades issue NCVT certificates, while SCVT trades issue SCVT certificates
