Indian Army 10+2 Technical Entry Scheme (Defense job in Assam): The Indian Army, one of the most respected and disciplined organizations in the world, invites applications from young, motivated, and unmarried male candidates for its 10+2 Technical Entry Scheme (TES-54), commencing from January 2026.

About TES-54

TES-54 is a gateway for young men to join the Indian Army as officers through a direct entry into its technical stream. Candidates selected under this scheme will undergo a structured 4-year training program, culminating in the award of an Engineering degree and a commission in the rank of Lieutenant.

Eligibility Criteria for Indian Army 10+2 Technical Entry Scheme

  • Gender: Male
  • Marital Status: Unmarried
  • Nationality: Indian/Nepalese/Persons of Indian Origin migrated from select countries (with necessary eligibility certificate from Govt. of India)
  • Age Limit: 16½ – 19½ years as of 01 Jan 2026 (Born between 02 Jul 2006 and 01 Jul 2009, both inclusive)
  • Educational Qualification:
    • Passed 10+2 (or equivalent) with at least 60% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM)
    • Must have appeared in JEE (Main) 2025

Selection Procedure for Indian Army Recruitment 2025

  • Application Submission (Online Only)

    • Application window: 13 May 2025 (1200 Hrs) to 12 Jun 2025 (1200 Hrs)
    • Only one application per candidate is permitted
  • Shortlisting
    Based on JEE Main 2025 CRL, cut-off to be announced in the first week of July 2025
  • SSB Interview
    • Scheduled from August to September 2025
    • Five-day process at one of the Selection Centres: Prayagraj, Bhopal, Bengaluru, or Jalandhar
    • Tests include psychological assessment, group tasks, and personal interview
  • Medical Examination
    Candidates recommended by SSB will undergo thorough medical examination at a military hospital
  • Final Merit List
    • Based solely on SSB performance
    • No weightage to academic scores, NCC background, or prior military exposure
  • Joining Letter
    Issued to candidates in order of merit and subject to vacancy and medical fitness

Training Details

  • Duration: 4 years (3 years at CTW + 1 year at IMA Dehradun)
  • Degree Awarded: B.Tech in respective engineering disciplines
  • Engineering Streams:
    • CME Pune: Civil & Mechanical Engineering
    • MCTE Mhow: Telecom & IT (Dual Degree)
    • MCEME Secunderabad: Electrical & Mechanical Engineering

Cadets will be assigned to training wings based on Indian Army discretion, not personal preference.

Career Progression and Pay Structure

  • Promotions:
    • Lieutenant – On Commission
    • Captain – After 2 years
    • Major – After 6 years
    • Lt Colonel – After 13 years
    • Colonel and above – Through selection
  • Military Service Pay (MSP): ₹15,500 per month (Lt to Brigadier)
  • Additional Allowances: Risk, hardship, high altitude, dress allowance, education and hostel subsidy, and more.

  • Fill in all required details accurately
  • Submit and print two copies of the application after submission
  • Carry the printout and original documents to the SSB centre when called.
    • Carry one self-attested copy to SSB with:
      1. Original and two self-attested copies of Class 10th certificate/marksheet (DOB proof).
      2. Original and two self-attested copies of Class 12th certificate/marksheet.
      3. Original ID proof.
      4. Copy of JEE (Mains) 2025 result.
      5. 20 self-attested passport-size photographs
  • Important Notes
    • Only original certificates (10th, 12th, and JEE Main) are accepted for verification
    • Ineligibility, false information, or multiple applications will lead to cancellation
    • Candidates must meet strict physical fitness and discipline standards
    • Those debarred from other military academies or training institutions are not eligible
