- Pay Matrix Level: 12 (as per 7th CPC)
- Age Limit: Up to 45 years (No upper age limit for regular employees of IIT Guwahati)
- The appointment will be for a maximum period until 28th April 2027.
- Application Fee:
- ₹1000/- for General/OBC candidates.
- SC/ST, Women, and PwD candidates are exempted from the application fee.

Eligibility Criteria of IIT Guwahati Recruitment for Deputy Registrar
Educational & Other Qualifications:
- Post-Graduate Degree with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade of ‘B’ in the UGC 7-point scale.
- Experience:
- Nine years as Assistant Professor with AGP ₹6000 or above, with experience in educational administration or comparable experience in research establishments or higher education institutions.
- OR five years of administrative experience as Assistant Registrar or in an equivalent post with a Level 10 scale or above.
Preference will be given to applicants from Centrally Funded Technical Institutes (CFTI) with significant administrative experience.

- Selection will be based on qualifications and experience. Shortlisted candidates will be invited for an interview.

- Self-attested copies of qualification, experience, and caste certificates.
- No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the current employer.
- Annual Performance Appraisal Reports (last 5 years).
- A certificate regarding any penalties imposed, if applicable, from the employer.
- A certificate confirming no vigilance cases or disciplinary proceedings are pending.
