Assam CEE 2025: Assam Science and Technology University has issued a official notification for The Combined Entrance Examination (CEE), 2025 for admission to B.Tech. programme in the Engineering colleges of Assam. Interested and eligible candidates who have passed or appearing in 10+2 exam may apply online. The CEE 2025 will be conducted as per the syllabus of the Assam State School Education Board, Division II (Higher Secondary Division).
Important Details of Assam CEE 2025
- Name of Examination: The Combined Entrance Examination (CEE), 2025
- Medium of the Entrance Test: The question paper contains questions both in “English” and “Assamese” language.
- Application Fee: An application fee of Rs. 1350 (Rupees One Thousand Three Hundred and Fifty) is to be paid online.
- Payment Mode: This application fee can be made through online mode by using Debit Card/ Credit Card/ Net Banking.
- Admit Card: The Assam CEE Admit Card 2025 will be available for download on the ASTU website from 12th April 2025 to 23rd April 2025. Candidates can access it using their application form number or username and password.
- Provisional Answer Keys: The Provisional Answer Keys will be uploaded on the website after 6:00 PM on the day of the examination.
- Important Dates:
- Starting date of submission of online application: 5th February, 2025
- Last date of submission of online application: 9th March 2025
- Issue of admit cards online: 12th April, 2025 to 23rd April, 2025
- Date for CEE 2025 examination: 27th April, 2025
- Examination timings: 11A.M – 2P.M

Eligibility Criteria of Assam CEE 2025
- Indian Citizenship: The applicant must be an Indian citizen.
- Permanent Residency: The applicant must be a permanent resident of Assam, with a valid PRC issued by the competent authority.
- Central Government Employee Quota:
- Eligible candidates are children of central government employees posted in Assam for less than 20 years.
- The 20-year condition must be valid at the time of admission.
- Qualifying Examination:
- The candidate must pass the 10+2 examination in a single sitting, without grace marks, in the relevant subjects.
- Must pass both Theory and Practical exams (refer to Annexure I).
- Minimum Marks in Qualifying Exam:
- General: Minimum 45% in 10+2.
- Reserved Category (OBC/MOBC/SC/ST): Minimum 40% in 10+2.
- OR, candidates with a 3-year Engineering Diploma from the State Council for Technical Education, Assam, must secure 45% (40% for reserved categories) in their final exam.
- Age Limit:
- Candidate must be at least 17 years old on the date of registration to appear for the CEE.
- There is no upper age limit.
- Moral Character:
- The candidate must possess a good moral character (Certificate from the last attended institution required).
- Physical & Mental Fitness:
- A medical certificate from a medical officer/practitioner is required.
- Branch Selection:
- Based on the subjects studied in 10+2, candidates will be allotted branches for choice filling.

Examination Pattern of Assam CEE 2025
- The exam will be of 3 hours duration and consist of 120 multiple-choice questions.
- 4 marks will be awarded for each correct answer, and 1 mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer.
- If a candidate selects more than one answer, it will be considered as a wrong answer.
- The CEE-2025 will be based on the Assam State School Education Board, Division II (Higher Secondary Division) syllabus.
- The exam will be of Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) type, with a single paper of 3 hours duration, divided as follows:
- Mathematics: 40 questions
- Physics: 40 questions
- Chemistry: 40 questions

- Application Process: Candidates must apply through the online application form. Ensure you meet the eligibility criteria and educational qualifications. Failure to meet the requirements will result in disqualification during counseling.
- Internet Access: Ensure you have a computer with a stable internet connection.
- Photograph:
- Size: 25-35 KB, format JPG/JPEG.
- Dimensions: Height 250-350 pixels, width 150-220 pixels.
- Must be recent (within two months).
- Signature:
- Size: 15-30 KB, format JPG/JPEG.
- Dimensions: Height 100-180 pixels, width 150-220 pixels.
- Email: Provide a valid email ID for communication.
- Mobile Number: Provide a valid mobile number for SMS notifications.
- Payment: Ensure a valid debit/credit card or net banking account for payment.
- Confirmation Page: Save and preserve the confirmation page for future reference.
- Brochure: Download and carefully read the Information Brochure to confirm eligibility and understand the application process.
- No Changes After Submission: No corrections or changes can be made after submission. Category changes will not be accepted after the submission deadline, and no changes will be allowed after the CEE-2025 results are declared.
