Scheme of Written Examination & Selection Process (Scientific Assistant)
A. Written Examination
- Type: Objective, OMR-based.
- Duration: 3 hours
- Questions: 120 total (65% Technical, 35% Generic).
- Marking:
- +1 mark per correct answer.
- -0.25 mark per wrong answer.
- Cut-off Marks:
- General/EWS: 50%
- OBC: 40%
- SC/ST/PwBD: 30%
- Cut-off applies to overall and section-wise marks.
- Generic Area Topics: Logical & Analytical Reasoning, Quantitative & Qualitative Abilities, General Awareness & Aptitude.

B. Selection Process
- Selection based on written test only.
- Merit list prepared stream-wise (EC/CS/IT); PwBD candidates ranked separately.
- Tie-breaking: Older candidate given preference.
