APSC Recruitment 2025: The Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) has announced the recruitment of 7 positions for Inspector of Schools, District Elementary Education Officer (DEEO), and Deputy Director under the Assam Education Service. The application period is from February 21, 2025, to March 20, 2025.
Eligibility Criteria and Vacancy Details for APSC Recruitment 2025
- The candidate must be a permanent resident of Assam.
- The candidate must produce PRC issued in Assam for educational purpose or Employment Exchange Registration certificate of Assam which will be treated as proof of residency aiong with the online application form.

Educational Qualifications for APSC Recruitment 2025
- A second-class Master’s Degree with a B.T./B.Ed. degree from an NCTE-recognized institution. Additionally, candidates should have:
- Teaching experience in schools and colleges for 10 years, or
- Administrative experience for 10 (ten) years of which 5 (five) years must be teaching.
Age Limit for APSC Inspector of Schools/DEEO/Deputy Director
The candidates should be at least 21 years old and no more than 38 years old as of January 1, 2025.
The upper age limit is relaxable as follows:
- By 5 years for SC/ST candidates, i.e., up to 43 years.
- By 3 years for OBC/MOBC candidates, i.e., up to 41 years.
- For Ex-Servicemen, the maximum age limit is 50 years as of January 1, 2025, for Unreserved category candidates. The age limit is relaxable further by 3 years for OBC/MOBC candidates and 5 years for SC/ST candidates.
- For Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PWBD), the age limit is relaxed by 10 years, irrespective of category (SC/ST/OBC/UR).
The age of candidates will be calculated based on the date mentioned in their Class-X/Class-XII Examination Admit Card/Pass Certificate/Marksheet.
Pay Scale
Salary: ₹30,000 to ₹1,10,000 per month, Grade Pay: ₹14,500
