| Educational Qualification | Must be holder of a Degree in Law granted by a recognized University established by law in India. | |

Selection Criteria of Gauhati High Court Recruitment 2025:
- Exam Stages: Preliminary (Screening), Main (Written), and Viva Voce/Interview.
- Preliminary Exam: Candidates scoring ≥60% qualify for Main Exam; selection ratio 1:10.
- Main Exam:
- General candidates: ≥60% aggregate, ≥45% in Papers I-IV, ≥35% in Paper-V (Language).
- SC/ST candidates: ≥50% aggregate, ≥40% in Papers I-IV, ≥35% in Paper-V.
- Language Paper (V): Qualifying only, not counted in aggregate.
- Viva Voce: Selection ratio 1:3; minimum 60% marks required.
- Interview: 50 marks total.
How To Apply for Gauhati High Court Recruitment:
Candidates who fulfill the requisite criteria can submit their online application forms, by following the steps indicated below, through the home page of the website www.ghconline.gov.in wherein a scroll under the caption “Click here to apply” will be available:
- Phase 1: Registration
- Provide primary details: Name, Father’s Name, Date of Birth, Mobile No., Email ID.
- System generates a Registration Code (note it down carefully).
- Registration Code + Date of Birth = Login details for Phases 2, 3, and 4.
- Phase 2: Profile Details
- Fill in: Gender, Category, Address, Qualification, Experience, etc.
- Upload Photograph (face covers 80% of image) and Signature (covers 70% of image).
- Image formats: .jpg, .png, or .gif; size: 5 KB to 30 KB.
- Phase 3: Final Submission
- Ensure all details in Phase 2 are filled (no blank fields).
- Upload Photograph and Signature as specified.
- Click Declaration checkbox to activate the Submit Candidature button.
- No modifications allowed after submission.
- Phase 4: Fee Payment
- Print Fee Payment Challan after submission.
- Pay fee in cash at any State Bank of India branch within the deadline.
- Obtain Journal Number, bank official’s signature, and seal on Challan.
- Fee payment details (Journal No., Amount, Date) will reflect in the account after 2 working days.
- Print Acknowledgement Receipt and Application Form for future reference.
- Important Notes:
- Registration closes on the last date, but Phase 2 and 3 data can be updated till then.
- Ensure all steps are completed before the deadline.
- Keep Challan and Acknowledgement Receipt safely.
- Application submitted in any other mode, except online mode through www.ghconline,gov, in as indicated above, shall be summarily rejected.
